Recycling
We try to make a point of purchasing resources from environmentally friendly vendors. Whenever possible, we try to ensure that the products used in our operations are either recycled or reused. Internally, we encourage recycling of paper, cardboard, cans, glass and plastic.
Products we recycle for you:

- Servers
- Network Equipment
- Copiers and fax machines
- Ink/Toner Cartridges back to the manufacture
Store Drop-off
You can bring electronic products to either store to be disposed or recycled. Please do not leave them at the store front, as there is a disposal fee for electronic equipment.
Recycling of your equipment
When you dispose of your equipment at Affordable Business Products, we try to find a reuse for it and donate it to a local nonprofit (i.e. New Prague Schools), before we pay the disposal fee. If the equipment is working or can be fixed, we will then pay for the repair parts, clean the interior/exterior of the product and donate it. The fee you pay, then is applied towards the repair, cleaning and management of finding a new home for it.
Reduction in Paper Product Use
In all of our business dealings, we strive to use paper products responsibly. By instituting electronic versions of forms, documents and invoices, Affordable Business Products has dramatically reduced the amount of paper the company uses on an annual basis. Electricity Usage
Computers, Servers, Printers and other electronic equipment can use excess power. We recommend using products like the Duo Core Processors that use less power. You should have your computer cleaned and tuned up every 3-6 months. In a clean up, we do the following:
- Clean inside dust off motherboard, power supply and clean your fans.
- Extends life and reduces power to run computer
- Remove old unused applications
- Remove temporary data files no longer needed
- Remove unknown viruses and spy ware
- Increases security
- Speeds up computer
- Install all unknown updates for all your applications
- Increases security
- Prevents crashes
- Speeds up computer
We also recommend turning your computer off every night. This does the following:
- Saves electricity
- Makes your equipment last longer from burn out
- Increases security (you can’t get into a device if it’s not powered)
